How do I check if an Instagram account exists?+

It's the country Instagram shows under “About this account” — where the account is actually operated from. SCRYNX reads this field during the check; when Instagram doesn't show it, the account is marked unknown and the country is not charged.
Will the account owner know their profile was checked?+
No. A check is read-only: nothing is posted, followed, liked or messaged, and Instagram doesn't notify profile views.
Why do some accounts come back as unknown?+
When Instagram rate-limits the check or the profile can't be read reliably, SCRYNX returns unknown instead of guessing — and unknown results are never charged.
